How far the consulate is from your city

Driving distances to the consulate that covers each city, calculated at posted speed limits and without traffic:

City Consulate Distance Journey
Augusta Washington, D.C. 551 miles 10 h 21 min by car
Savannah Washington, D.C. 579 miles 10 h 43 min by car
Atlanta Washington, D.C. 638 miles 12 h 11 min by car
Columbus Washington, D.C. 747 miles 14 h 12 min by car

From Columbus that is 14 h 12 min by car each way, which makes it worth checking the consular outreach schedule before committing to the drive: missions bring passport and dual citizenship services to cities without a consulate, and the appointments are free.

Before you plan the journey

A large share of the trips people make to a Philippine consulate were never necessary. These three are handled entirely elsewhere:

The short version: PSA certificates are ordered online from Manila, apostilles on documents issued in Georgia come from the state's own competent authority, since 15 May 2019 the consulate cannot authenticate them, and the NBI clearance travels by mail; its fingerprints can be taken at a consulate or at a police station, according to the NBI.

Set against that, two things cannot be delegated or posted: passport biometrics and the RA 9225 oath. A notarial document can go either way, signed at the consulate or before a local notary with an apostille, according to the notarial page of the Chicago consulate.

Passports, dual citizenship and notarials for Georgia are booked with the Embassy, at 1617 Massachusetts Avenue NW, or at the outreach missions it announces on its site.
